The Rocketeer Funny Car is our primary race car at this time.  It is a 1970 Cuda body on a S&W chassis.  Alex purchased the chassis in 2007 when he was 19 years old.  We ran it with a 32 Bantam body in the Nostalgia Eliminator I class before switching to the Cuda body.  Alex's dream was to race a funny car and when the opportunity came to buy this body we jumped at the chance.  Alex and his crew did the 'tree and tin" work on the body over the next couple of months and the Rocketeer debuted in April of 2009.  Rick Jay at AVI did an absolutely fantastic job with the design of the car by capturing the "nostalgic" look.  Careful attention was paid to properly mounting the body to keep it as original as possible while still maintaining functionality.  We are very proud of how it turned out and hope you like it too.

The Dart is actually the first "Rocketeer".  Alex bought a 1970 Dodge Dart at the end of the 2003 Jr Dragster season his desire to race big cars made him more than willing to miss some racing while building the Dart.  He sold all of his Jr dragster equipment and bought a 70 Dart and a full tube chassis kit.  The project took a little longer to complete then we wanted but the Rocketeer Dart debuted in January 2007.  Alex drove the car over the next 6 months until he heard about a funny car for sale.  It was at this time he talked his dad into going partners on the funny car.  The poor Dart was parked over the next few years while Alex competed in the funny car.  We recently pulled the Dart out of mothballs and Jim is the current driver.

Tyler is driving the Rocketeer Jr.  This chassis was the last Jr. Dragster that Alex drove many years ago.
